Organic kala cotton
Kala Cotton​ is a pest-resistant "old-world" cotton indigenous to Kuchchh, India. It is more than 3000 years old. It is entirely rain-fed, requiring no additional irrigation to grow.
Recent revivial of kala cotton provides income for farmers, dyers, weavers and spinners - creating value at every step of the supply chain. It generates income and employement for women who spin the yarn.
