This scarf is made from 100% silk recycled sari fabric. Two layers of sari fabric are stiched together using very fine "kantha" embroidery by a women's co-operative in West Bengal. The handwork is done by women from marginalized communities who are paid living wages and provided regular employment and a safe and flexcible work environment. Th scarves are sourced from House of Wandering Silk, a social enterprise based in New Delhi that works directly with the women kantha artisans. The initials of the artisan are embroidered into a corner of the scarf
