This small shibori scarf was designed and made by Papri Basak and her small team of artisans, in Santiniketan, West Bengal India's "abode of peace". Papri Basak is an up-and-coming textile desgner who studied at Kala Bhavan, Vishva Bharati, the Institute of Fine Art at the pre-eminent university in Shanitiniketan. She is proprietor and own at Sadaf Designs. She has 4 men and 35 women artisans with her.
She works with natural dyes using batik, shibori and kantha embroidery, always on hand woven fabric. Her focus is on eco friendly sustainable product development for contemporary markets .

Care: to care for this hand-woven product, please hand-wash separately in cold water using a mild dtetergent. Do not soak. Drip dry in shade.
