Cotton-Silk extra-weft bhujodi scarf
This is a tussar silk-cotton handwoven scarf, designed and handmade by Dilip Kudecha, son of well-known master weaver Dayalal Kudecha, based in the Kachchh region of Gujarat, India, a region renowned for its rich textile tradition. The border is inlaid with a supplementary tussar silk weft motif while the cotton and silk threads are still on the loom. It is finished with hand-twisted tassels, and hand-dyed with natural dyes indigo, brazilwood and flame of the forest (tesu) flowers.
